Every day our life requires us to juggle all kinds of “balls” in the air. Some seem to drop. Some seem to stay afloat without much effort and others feel like we are constantly running to catch it and throw it back up again.
It can be exhausting unless you know perfect your craft as a juggler.
1. Start with less balls.
This means you have to learn how to prioritize. Choose the top three things that you must get done in today and then let the rest be gravy. If something comes in that could jeopardize one of those top 3 things then take a moment to assess what’s the best action. Maybe it’s not to do it or adjust so that the priority stays important.
2. Focus on the ball in your hand.
Whatever task you are doing, do it to your fullest and no matter whatever comes in to distract you, refocus on your present task. This takes discipline and consistency. You can do it!
3. Once you’ve thrown the ball, you can’t do anything about it while it’s up in the air so no need to fret. Just wait for it to come back down.
This speaks of our level of anxiety when things aren’t happening fast enough or in the pace we expect them to. The wheels are in motion. Just keep doing your tasks and the answers will come. No need to create stress in your mind and body while you wait. Breathe in and out and trust that all will fall according to plan.
4. A healthy juggler is one who can juggle longer.
Maintaining a healthy body is vital for this process. Defining a healthy body means it has a lot of energy and positive action. You’ll need to exercise and eat healthy in order to keep your body functional. If you don’t know what it means to eat healthy for you or what the right kind of exercise is for you, you can ask a professional or I’m happy to help however I can as well. This will help your ability to prioritize, focus and stay relaxed while things are in motion! It’s a win-win-win-win!
